The State Archives collect, preserve and validate written documents from the Canton of the Grisons and make them available to the public for informational and research purposes.
It provide cantonal authorities, offices, communities, districts and subdistricts, as well as non-cantonal institutions and private individuals with counsel on questions relating to archiving, the history of the Grisons, genealogical research and heraldry.
